About
The University of Washington's Executive Master of Health Administration program trains mid-career health services professionals to take on mid- and senior-level leadership positions in health administration. The program uses a teaching modality called Hyflex, which allows students to participate in live instruction either online or in person. In a typical Executive MHA cohort, about half the students find new career opportunities while enrolled in the program, while others develop skills that enhance their current roles.
The UW MHA consistently ranks as one of the best graduate programs in health administration in the United States. In 2019, it was named No. 15 in rankings by U.S. News & World Report.
We are also the only executive program in the Northwest that‘s accredited by CAHME, or the Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education. Accreditation means the program has undergone a rigorous examination of its purpose, curriculum, student experience and career outcomes, and meets the bar for educational excellence.
The Executive MHA is an interdisciplinary group degree in the UW School of Public Health, which was named No. 9 in U.S. News & World Report's 2023 rankings.
